Happy Lunar New Year!

If you watched the What’s In My Bag video I did with Vogue last year, you might remember me talking about my love for tarot cards. I like to carry them with me; I really enjoy the ritual of drawing a card each morning to see what energy it offers for the day ahead. Sometimes the card resonates a lot; other times, hmm, not so much – but that’s what I love about it. It encourages me to stay present.
With the Lunar New Year upon us this week, I’ve been thinking even more about the power of intention – how our outlook and attitude can help to shape the year we want for ourselves. This is the Year of the Snake, which symbolises good luck and happiness. People born under this sign are said to be wise and charming – one of those closest to me, my sister, was born in the Year of the Snake, and I can definitely say she embodies both of those qualities!
To celebrate, we’ve asked three of our favourite London chefs and foodies for the recipes to share with loved ones (any excuse for a dinner party), and to honour the tradition of giving gifts at this time, we’ve rounded up the best limited-edition Lunar New Year buys, from fashion to books.
You also know I love talking about manifestation, and I genuinely believe in its power. So, let’s manifest a year of happiness and aim to have the wisdom and charm of the Snake.
